Lazio Defender Patric: “We Deserved Three Points Against Milan”

Lazio finished with another heartbreaking loss this season as the Biancocelesti came away with a 3-2 defeat to AC Milan. Lazio showed fight in the contest by coming down from a 2-0 deficit while also creating key chances over the course of the game. But in the end, Milan is the one celebrating the win.

Lazio defender Patric started the game and played in 88 minutes before being subbed off late by manager Simone Inzaghi. For the Spanish talent, he believes that Lazio deserved more from the contest. He spoke about the results and takeaways from it in comments relayed by the Italian-based outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi.

We played better than them except for the first 15 minutes. The other 70 we dominated and we had to win.

This defeat hurts us and ruins our Christmas. Now we have to be strong as a group and try to win the next ones to stay on top.

We deserved three points against Milan. Today it was important to finish the year in the best possible way.

It’s a shame to have lost today’s fixture because we dominated and even the draw was unfair.

Lazio now has to move forward from the result and look ahead to the fixtures that will come following the upcoming mini winter break. The Biancocelesti still has a viable chance at making a run to a possible top-four finish in league play this season.
