Lazio’s 3-2 loss to AC Milan on matchday 14 must have been one of the more disappointing results of the campaign for the side. Lazio willed its way to a dramatic comeback in the fixture but watched in the end as Theo Hernandez scored the game-winner for his side. Lazio created enough goal-scoring chances in the fixture, but the two goals for Simone Inzaghi’s side was not enough in this game.

Even with the result, Lazio midfielder Andreas Pereira is viewing the result from an optimistic standpoint. Pereira must be surely ready to prove that Lazio can turn its season around with a quality run of fixtures.

The Lazio midfielder posted a lengthy message on his official Instagram account reflecting on his opening run with the Biancocelesti.

As for yesterday’s game, we need to get our heads up. Soccer is not an exact science and the best doesn’t always win.

But I’m here to thank everyone for welcoming me so warmly this year 2020. I dream every day to see them fill the stadium. I want to do so much more for everyone and for this wonderful club, which I am already passionate about. I’m falling more and more in love with this country, Italians are friendly and very special people. Thank you for everything.

The break is important but I can’t wait to get back to playing in this Biancoceleste jersey! Enjoy the holidays with your family, take care of your loved ones so we can all be together soon! Love Andreas.

Pereira has made 10 appearances in league play this season.
