Premier League side West Ham is among several teams that is showing an early interest in current Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud for a potential transfer deal, according to a report from the English-based outlet Mirror.
West Ham has long had the French forward on its transfer radar, per the report. The Hammers are deemed to be interested in signing the forward over the upcoming winter transfer window rather than wait for the summer window when he would become a free agent.
As mentioned, West Ham is among a couple of teams with an interest in the Chelsea talent. Lazio is among those teams with the Biancocelesti having shown preliminary interest in such a deal over the recent summer transfer window.
Giroud has kept quality form this season; he has recorded eight goals in all competitions over the campaign, including scoring four against Sevilla FC in a UEFA Champions League group stage fixture.
It remains to be seen whether Lazio will up its interest in the former Europa League winner over either of the upcoming transfer windows.
