Ciro Immobile & Sergej Milinković-Savić Provide the Most Assists for Lazio in 2020

As 2020 comes to an end, it’s time to reflect on some of Lazio’s players’ performances during an unordinary year. The first statistical category is the assist department, with all the numbers coming courtesy of La Lazio Siamo Noi

The top five leaders in winning passes in all competitions for the Biancocelesti are Ciro Immobile (6), Sergej Milinković-Savić (6), Felipe Caicedo (5), Luis Alberto (5), and Joaquin Correa (4).

Despite being the squad’s go-to goal scorer, Immobile can make the necessary pass that leads to the goal. The 30-year-old clearly possesses a playmaking side; he showed this against Napoli last weekend when he helped create the second goal for Lazio, which came off a Luis Alberto strike.

Milinković-Savić is one of the top assist generators, not only for Lazio but Serie A. This 2020-21 season, the Serbian international sits sixth in the Italian league with 4 assists; only two assists away from holding the top spot (6).

Caicedo and Luis Alberto’s assists don’t come from the 2020-21 season. It appears that all of their assists came during the early months of 2020 and after the restart of the Italian league.

Finally, most of Correa’s assists have come this 2020-21 season, with 2 assists coming in Champions League and 1 coming from Serie A play.
