The winter transfer window is a few days away from opening. Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi speculates that Lazio could be targeting players whose contracts will be expiring in June 2021 to sign a pre-contract and bring in to reinforce the team next season.
With the goalkeeping position not needing any reinforcements, the media outlet begins their dive into the names that the Biancocelesti could be targeting on defense. The more affordable names on the free transfer market for defenders that Lazio could be looking at are AC Milan’s Mateo Musacchio, Napoli’s Nikola Maksimović and Inter’s Danilo D’Ambrosio.
Meanwhile, in the midfield, Lazio could look at Paris Saint-Germain’s Julian Draxler, FC Bayern Munich’s Javi Martínez and Arsenal FC’s Mesut Özil, among other names.
Finally, in the attacking department, they could be eyeing Paris Saint-Germain’s Ángel Di María, Olympique de Marseille’s Florian Thauvin, Chelsea FC’s Olivier Giroud, and Real Madrid’s Lucas Vázquez.
Suppose Lazio looks to pursue these names and perhaps agree to a pre-contract. In that case, they’ll need to extend the contract of manager Simone Inzaghi, as these players will want to know what the future holds at the club.
