Lazio Women find themselves near the top of Serie B with 17 points as they fight for promotion into Serie A.
Biancocelesti defender Martina Santoro spoke with Tutto Calcio Female, where she discussed her dreams and ambitions.
One dream that Santoro would like is to live off playing football; however, she states the reality that plenty of women in sports face as it’s not considered a professional. As a result, she has another job where she and her sister manage a restaurant called Baghetteria. The Lazio defender also adds that she hopes to invent a sandwich to celebrate the squad’s promotion into Serie A.
Santoro then discussed the Lazio season, and although they got off to a slow start, they’re peaking at the right time as they’re third in the Serie B table and three points from the leader Calcio Pomigliano.
Despite the squad continuing to grow and find their form, Santoro understands that they don’t want to underestimate anyone even though they have aspirations of being promoted.
