The winter transfer window will be opening in a few days, and Lazio will look to tweak their squad ahead of their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 matchups against FC Bayern Munich.

Although the Biancocelesti might not buy someone that can immediately have an effect versus the German giants, bringing in a depth piece or two is always important to allow players who will feature over the two legs to have a day off in Serie A.

La Lazio Siamo Noi reports that one name that Lazio is currently monitoring is Club Brugge KV left-back Federico Ricca. The 26-year-old did feature in the December 8th Champions League fixture between Lazio and Club Brugge, so it seems as though manager Simone Inzaghi had his eye on him before that match, or he caught his attention during those 90 minutes.

The Italian media outlet speculates that Ricca’s flexibility to play as a central defender and a full back attracts Lazio. His ability to cover two roles makes him a serious candidate for Le Aquile

When it comes to a potential cost, the Uruguayan international has a transfer value of €2.5 million per Transfermarkt
