Brazilian Midfielder Romulo: “I Don’t Know if I Can Return to Lazio but It Would Be Nice”

Brazilian midfielder Romulo discussed a possible return to Lazio next month when speaking with Italian social media page Voce Laziale on Instagram earlier today.

I don’t know if my future will still be with Lazio, but coming home would be nice.

The 33-year-old Brazilian-Italian midfielder, who is currently a free agent after his contract expired with Genoa at the start of the season, made 22 appearances in Serie A last campaign for Brescia, for a total of 1725 minutes.

In that time, he scored one goal and provided three assists, but could not do enough to help the Lombardy side stay up in Serie A.

Romulo joined Lazio on a loan deal with a buy option attached in the January transfer window in 2019, won the Coppa Italia with the Biancocelesti during his six months in Rome, but did not manage to convince the Roman club enough to earn a permanent move.
