Simone Inzaghi’s Lazio Broke Consecutive Win & Unbeaten Run Records In 2020

Lazio in 2020 under coach Simone Inzaghi broke the records for their number of consecutive victories and their best unbeaten record, according to a report from Lazio’s official app (via La Lazio Siamo Noi).

The report details how Inzaghi’s side achieved 11 consecutive wins this year, beating the previous record set by Sven Goran Eriksson’s side in the 1998/99 season, which was 9 consecutive victories.

Inzaghi’s team also beat Eriksson’s record of 17 unbeaten games, which the Biancocelesti broke by hitting 21, with the streaking starting on the 25th September 2019 and ending on the 24th June 2020.

Next year, Lazio will be looking to improve upon this successful year, with their first major test being against German champions Bayern Munich in the Champions League Round of 16.

Winning that game would surely put Inzaghi’s side in contention for the European title.

Lazio are currently 8th in the Serie A table after 14 games, sitting on 21 points, five below 4th place Sassuolo.
