Hellas Verona midfielder Darko Lazovic’s agent Bojan Ostojić confirmed that the 30-year-old Serbian would not be joining Lazio next month in an interview with Italian media outlet Europacalciomercato.net (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today.
Lazovic will stay with Hellas Verona.
Lazio? Ideas that don’t correspond with reality.
The 30-year-old Lazovic, who is contracted to the Gialloblu until 2022, has made 11 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 751 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal and provided one assist, impressing for Ivan Juric’s side.
Lazio are looking for a new left wing-back for a move in next month’s transfer window, with the injuries to Mohamed Fares and Senad Lulic concerning coach Simone Inzaghi.
The 44-year-old Italian coach would like more options on the bench, especially if the 34-year-old Bosnian captain’s recovery continues to take a while.
