Lazio Striker Immobile Will Finally Sign Contract Renewal Agreed in the Summer

Lazio striker Ciro Immobile will finally sign the contract renewal that was agreed upon in the summer, tying him to the club until 2025, according to a report from Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today.

The report details how the 30-year-old Italian striker, who joined the Biancocelesti in 2016, reached a verbal agreement regarding a new contract with the Roman club during the summer’s pre-season training camp.

He will finally put pen to paper, tying him to Lazio until 2025, scaring off any interested parties. The former Torino and Pescara striker has previously stated that he would be willing to finish his career in Rome.

Immobile is aiming to beat legendary striker Silvio Piola’s goal record with Lazio, which stands at 149. The 30-year-old Italian has netted 139 times, meaning he could even break the record before the end of this season.

Immobile has already scored 14 goals in 16 appearances this campaign.
