Ex-Lazio Forward Giordano On Inzaghi’s Contract Renewal: “Nobody Makes The First Move”

Former Lazio forward Bruno Giordano discussed Biancocelesti coach Simone Inzaghi and if he’ll sign a contract renewal with the club in an interview with Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb earlier today.

You do a lot of good things, then you make a mistake with substitutions and they put you on trial. On the renewal maybe they’re thinking about separating, they’re studying each other and nobody makes the first move.

Every day that passes it becomes more difficult. The team must have certainties for the future, I hope he can stay.

Inzaghi, who has coached the Biancocelesti since 2016, has managed to guide the team to a Coppa Italia and two Supercoppa Italiana since taking over, as well as guiding the team back to the Champions League after being absent for over a decade.

The 44-year-old Italian’s contract expires at the end of the season and he is currently working with president Claudio Lotito to find an offer that matches his salary requests.
