Lazio manager Simone Inzaghi has had both highlights and lowlights over this season. While Lazio is in the UEFA Champions League knockout stage for the second time in the club’s history, the Biancocelesti currently sits outside a top-four standing in the Serie A table.

Inzaghi has had mixed reviews in regard to his season so far, but former Italian defender Giancarlo Oddi is not among those criticizing the Lazio manager for the team’s performances. Oddi is viewing Inzgahi’s run with the club from a positive standpoint and believes that the Italian manager is deserving of more credit. Oddi spoke about Inzaghi, with comments relayed by the Italian-based outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi.

Inzaghi has so far been more adored than criticized. In the last match [3-2 loss to AC Milan], he made a mistake, but you can’t judge for a match. He has done well since he took the first team.

Oddi is certainly not the only former Lazio player that shares this viewpoint as he is opting to instead laud the Biancocelesti coach. Inzaghi has done much in getting the best out of his squad in all competitions over the past seasons.
