Italian Journalist Franco Recanatesi Claims Inzaghi Should Look to Make Notable Tactical Changes With the Team This Season

Lazio’s sluggish start in Serie A play this season has brought many to question on where it is going wrong for the club. The Biancocelesti is allowing goals at an alarming rate in league play and has continued to rely on striker Ciro Immobile to carry the load goal-scoring wise.

Italian journalist Franco Recanatesi is calling for manager Simone Inzaghi to look into switching up how he lines up his side. The Italian manager has regularly elected to go with his 3-5-2 setup with Immobile occupying one of the two center-forward spots upfront. But for Recanatesi, he believes that the side should look to experiment with a different style of play, and he made his case in comments relayed by the Italian-based outlet Cittaceleste.

Simone Inzaghi does not seem to want to hear any proposal to change the form. I remember the early days as he often changed, perhaps siding with 4-4-2.

In my opinion, every now and then it would be good to field your players in a different way. Inzaghi says his people know his scheme so well that they have no intention of taking sides otherwise.

Lazio’s current place in the league standings has caused many to push the panic button. But for now, there are still plenty of games to be played in the league this season.
