Lazio Forward Joaquin Correa to Undergo More Medical Tests Next Week

Lazio forward Joaquin Correa will undergo new medical exams next week in order to evaluate his physical condition and see if he’ll be able to feature against Roma in the derby next month, according to a report from Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today.

The report details how the 26-year-old Argentine forward, who is contracted to the Biancocelesti until 2024, suffered from muscle problems at the tail end of this year, forcing him to miss the league clash against Napoli on the 20th December.

Correa did return for the match against AC Milan three days later, but came off in the first half with an injury. Tests after the game showed an elongation of the soleus.

The 26-year-old Argentinian will miss the upcoming fixtures against Genoa, Fiorentina and Parma, but is hoping to be fit in time for the Derby della Capitale against Roma on the 15th January.

In a weeks’ time Correa will carry out more tests to determine his fitness and capability of appearing against the Giallorossi.
