Lazio striker Ciro Immobile’s agent Mauro Sommella discussed the 30-year-old Italian forward and his relationship with the fans in an interview earlier today, as reported by Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi).

With sacrifice, commitment and passion he managed to get to the top. People forget the past, but Ciro has always scored, from the youth teams to the records in Serie B.

It’s a pity he hasn’t been able to celebrate his achievements with the fans yet, they’re waiting for the stadiums to reopen so they can give him the Golden Boot.

The 30-year-old Immobile, who is contracted to the Biancocelesti until 2025, has made 16 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1256 minutes.

In that time, he has scored 14 goals and provided three assists, despite missing three games due to a positive Covid-19 diagnosis.

Immobile is the clear star of the Lazio squad and his stunning performances last season drove the Roman club back into the Champions League, after over a decade of absence.
