Lazio and rivals Roma are among the clubs interested in signing Hellas Verona’s Mattia Zaccagni, according to a report from Italian newspaper la Gazzetta dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today.
The report details how the 25-year-old Italian midfielder, who is contracted to the Gialloblu until 2022, has attracted the attention of many top clubs in Italy, including the Biancocelesti and Giallorossi, with his strong performances this season with the Veneto based club.
He is valued at around €10 million currently, which is likely to rise over the next few months, and a deal could be reached in the summer transfer window, as a move next month is essentially impossible given his importance to the Gialloblu.
Zaccagni has made 15 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1076 minutes. In that time, he has scored three goals and provided four assists.
The player was instrumental for Hellas Verona in their draws against Juventus and AC Milan, providing an assist in each.
