Lazio striker Ciro Immobile has been voted the 2020 ‘Player of the Year’ by the Biancocelesti fans on social media, according to an announcement by the Roman club on Twitter earlier today.
The 30-year-old Italian striker beat out Luis Alberto, Francesco Acerbi and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to win the award, owing to his incredible performances across the entire calendar year.
Immobile scored 28 goals in 2020, being a driving force behind the side that challenged for the league title last season and qualified for the Champions League for the first time in over a decade.
