Report: Felipe Caicedo Remains on Good Terms With Lazio Coach Simone Inzaghi

There was much questioning following Lazio manager Simone Inzaghi’s decision to keep forward Felipe Caicedo on the bench for the recent 3-2 loss against AC Milan.

Caicedo was fit and available for the fixture, but Inzaghi elected to keep the Ecuadorian on the bench as the Italian manager did not elect to bring any forwards off the bench during the game.

A report from CalcioMercato noted that Caicedo is disappointed with Inzaghi’s call to not provide him with any playing time minutes off the bench. More so, the report added that the Italian manager attempted to clarify to Caicedo on the decision during a scheduled training session on Wednesday, but that the forward did not seek to hear out the manager.

Nonetheless, the Italian-based outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi is noting that Caicedo is on good terms with Inzaghi and that there is no tension between the two following the team’s recent fixture.

More so, there is “harmony” between the two and there are no significant issues that came about after Lazio’s match.

Caicedo has logged for 16 appearances in all competitions with a mere five starts in total.
