Former Lazio and Genoa midfielder Romulo discussed the recent support he’s received from Biancocelesti fans in a post on his Instagram story earlier today.
I wanted to thank all the Lazio fans for the beautiful messages (thousands and thousands) over the last few days for me to return, they really make me very happy.
If it depended only on me I would already be there! Let’s see what happens, I’ll be rooting for it to succeed!
The 33-year-old Brazilian midfielder, who is currently a free agent after his contract expired with Genoa at the start of September, could be a possible solution for the Biancocelesti, as they look to sign defensive reinforcements in next month’s transfer window.
Romulo previously spent six months with Lazio, from January to June 2019, where he helped the side win the Coppa Italia.
He made 13 appearances in that time, providing one assist, but did not impress enough to earn a permanent move.
