Lazio defender Luiz Felipe risks missing this weekend’s Serie A clash against Genoa due to an ankle injury, according to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today.
The report details how the 23-year-old Brazilian defender, who is contracted to the Biancocelesti until 2022, suffered the injury in the friendly against Frosinone and has not trained with the squad since Tuesday’s session in Formello.
Other injured players include Marco Parolo (ankle injury), Joaquin Correa and Mohamed Fares (both suffering from calf issues).
Captain Senad Lulic returned to working in the gym today, with his condition being monitored on a daily basis, to see if he can rejoin the squad in place of Djavan Anderson.
Tomorrow the squad will begin the tactical training exercises ahead of the clash against the Rossoblu.
Lucas Leiva and Francesco Acerbi are continuing to take part in training, but could miss this weekend’s clash due to injury concerns.
