Lazio are interested in signing Norwegian talent Sivert Mannsverk in next month’s transfer window, according to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today.

The report details how the Biancocelesti are considering a winter transfer for the 18-year-old Norwegian midfielder, who is the captain of second division side Sogndal, who are currently third in the league table.

In Norway, he has been compared to 22-year-old Sheffield United midfielder Sander Berge, and they’re convinced that he is part of Norway’s new generation of talent, which also includes Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland.

Lazio have been in contact with his agents and intermediaries for some time now, and are considering whether to sign him next month, with the only issue being his €2 million valuation.

Many clubs are also interested in him, including Ajax, Bologna, Brighton, Aston Villa and Arsenal.

If the Roman club did secure Mannsverk, it is likely that he’d either be sent to Salernitana on loan or join the Primavera squad.
