Lazio forward Vedat Muriqi’s agent Haluk Canatar discussed the rumours that the 26-year-old Kosovan forward was set to re-join former side Fenerbahce on a six-month long loan deal in an interview with Turkish media outlet Fotomac earlier today.
There is no chance of that at the moment. I’m not going to talk about something that does not exist, I have nothing to hide.
Vedat had an injury and, after 35 days of working to recover, he contracted Covid-19. He couldn’t even carry out training on the pitch.
Everyone asks me if he will return to Fenerbahce, I tell them ‘no’ and after three days they rewrite it.
The 26-year-old Muriqi, who is contracted to the Biancocelesti until 2025, has made 10 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 374 minutes.
In that time, he has failed to contribute to a goal, clearly needing more time to adapt to both coach Simone Inzaghi’s tactical system and Serie A as a whole.
