As Lazio make their final preparations ahead of their away fixture against Genoa CFC, manager Simone Inzaghi is looking to go with a striker partnership that will feature Ciro Immobile and Felipe Caicedo, according to La Lazio Siamo Noi.
The 32-year-old has featured in 11 Serie A matches but has only started four, where he’s scored four goals for the Italian club. It’s an interesting decision by the Italian manager, but perhaps with the rumours of a potential departure, Lazio might be looking to showcase the Ecuador international.
A couple of days ago, Calciomercato reported that ACF Fiorentina made a €6 million offer. However, the Biancocelesti value the striker at €10 million, so by showing his ability alongside Immobile, Lazio can probably ask for more from Fiorentina or any other interested club.
Regardless of the motive, it will be interesting to see how both strikers click together and if Caicedo can be a valuable asset for Lazio in their second half of the season.
