Lazio’s Ciro Immobile Scored More Goals Than All of Genoa’s Attackers in 2020

When a club finds themselves battling in the relegation zone, they’re often a squad that’s struggling to find the back of the net, leading to a significant amount of losses. For Genoa CFC, this sums up their 2020-21 campaign.

Through 14 matches, the Grifone have scored 14 goals, putting them third last in Serie A’s goals scored department. Furthermore, Lazio’s Ciro Immobile has scored more goals than all of Genoa’s attackers in 2020, according to La Lazio Siamo Noi

Last year, the 30-year-old striker scored 34 goals; Genoa’s entire attack scored only 33 goals when counting production from their club and national team fixtures. Gianluca Scamacca scored 12 goals, Goran Pandev scored nine goals, Mattia Destro scored four goals, Marko Pjaca scored four goals and Eldor Shomurodov scored four goals.

With Lazio’s opponent struggling to find the back of the net at a consistent rate, the Biancocelesti should be able to contain Genoa tomorrow

On the other hand, Immobile’s ability to outproduce an entire squad’s attack when it comes to goals shows the form he was in 2020.

Don’t expect 2021 to be any different, as he will likely outscore some Serie A sides this year.
