Lazio President Lotito May Visit Formello Today To Question Disappointing Draw With Genoa

Lazio president Claudio Lotito may visit the Biancocelesti squad in Formello today to discuss yesterday’s disappointing draw against Genoa, according to a report from Roman newspaper Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24) earlier today.

The report details how the Biancocelesti president was not present at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris yesterday, but is likely to head to Formello today to figure out what the current issues are.

Lotito wants answers from coach Simone Inzaghi as soon as possible, as the club’s finances are in a precarious position and losing out of a top-four finish would remove the possibility to earn a significant amount from the Champions League.

Lazio are currently 9th in Serie A after 15 games, sitting on 22 points, six behind 4th place Napoli, who face Spezia on Wednesday afternoon.

Inzaghi’s side have won only one of their last five Serie A outings, against Napoli in the run-up to Christmas. In the other four games, they have picked up only two points, from draws against Genoa and Benevento.
