Lazio Wing Back Mohamed Fares: “My Donation Was to Help a Person in Need”

Lazio wing back Mohamed Fares, after seeing a video of a man being beaten up and robbed in Naples yesterday, decided to make a large donation to cover the value of the scooter.

He discussed his charitable action in an interview on the Biancocelesti’s official website earlier today.

I saw a post on Instagram by a friend of mine from Naples and I heard about this situation. The moment particularly affected me and I decided to act personally.

I noticed a link through which it was possible to make a donation and I wanted to do it anonymously because I didn’t want my gesture to cause a sensation in the media.

But it did happen, my intention was to help a person in need.

The 24-year-old Fares, who is contracted to the Roman club until 2025, has made 13 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 719 minutes. In that time, he has provided one assist, but has struggled to match the intensity of coach Simone Inzaghi’s tactical system.
