Fiorentina coach Cesare Prandelli discussed tomorrow’s Serie A clash against Lazio when speaking to gathered reporters in a press conference earlier today. His words were collected by Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi.

It’s clear that when you play against great teams, you have to be tidy and good. When you win the ball, you have to be determined to turn it over in transition. However, we must be aware that we can hurt Lazio.

They’re a team that have been playing together for many years. They have confidence and they have 3-4 above-average players.

They’re a dangerous team and it’s no coincidence that they’re in the Champions League.

Congratulations to Inzaghi and the club, they’re an organised team with ideas.

Prandelli’s Fiorentina are currently 14th in Serie A after 15 games, sitting on 15 points. They have only managed to win once in their last five league outings, a 3-0 triumph away to bitter rivals Juventus.

Simone Inzaghi’s Lazio have also struggled domestically this campaign, sitting on 22 points after 15 games, in 9th place.

The Biancocelesti’s last five domestic results are slightly worse than the Viola’s, having won once, drawn twice and lost twice.
