Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi discussed tomorrow’s match against Fiorentina and how referee decisions have changed their games in an interview with Italian radio broadcaster Lazio Style Channel (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today.
We know how important tomorrow’s match against Fiorentina will be. In the last three we’ve put in good performances, but we dropped 15 minutes in Milan and the second half in Genoa.
These blackouts cost us important points. Now we are focused on Fiorentina, I want to see great motivation from the team because it will be a very important match.
The 44-year-old Italian coach then discussed how certain decisions by the officials have affected the team.
I don’t want to give any excuses for my team. There have been refereeing errors that have penalized us over the last few matches, but we have to be stronger than the oversights. We have to be compact and united.
Finally, Inzaghi discussed tomorrow’s opponents, Cesare Prandelli’s Fiorentina.
Tomorrow we will meet a healthy team, the Viola have just come back from a 3-0 win against Juventus and a draw against Bologna.
They have many quality players, we will have to be careful playing the match in the best possible way.
Fiorentina are currently 14th in Serie A after 15 games, sitting on 15 points.
Lazio, in comparison, sit 9th in the table, with 22 points.
