Lazio Wing Back Fares Visited Paideia Clinic Today, Recovery Still on Schedule

Lazio wing back Mohamed Fares visited the medical clinic in Paideia today to undergo tests to estimate his recovery time, according to a Tweet posted by the Biancocelesti earlier today.

The 24-year-old Algerian wing back, who is contracted to the Roman club until 2025, has been out since the 2-1 loss to Hellas Verona on the 12th December due to a calf strain. He was forced to miss the following four games.

The recovery time was estimated at a month, and today’s checks have shown that he is still on schedule. Fares’ aim is to be fit and on the pitch in time for the Derby della Capitale against Roma on the 15th January.

The former SPAL man has made 13 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 719 minutes. In that time, he has provided one assist, but has struggled to fully gel in coach Simone Inzaghi’s tactical system.
