Ex-Juve Coach Sarri Was Offered to Lazio but the Biancocelesti Declined

Former Juventus and Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri was offered to Lazio in recent days, but the Biancocelesti have declined as they look to move forward with Simone Inzaghi, according to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today.

The report details how the 61-year-old Italian coach is still contracted to the Bianconeri until the end of the season and is looking for an agreement to terminate his contract in order to find a new job by the start of next season.

Sarri was offered to Lazio, but the figures were a little shocking; A three-year deal worth €4 million net per season and the possibility to operate as an assistant sporting director to Igli Tare, allowing him a move active role in the transfer market and choice of incoming players.

Lazio declined the offer because their intention is to continue with Inzaghi until at least the end of next season. The 44-year-old Italian is expected to sign a new deal in the next few days.
