Lazio picked up a much-needed 2-1 win over Fiorentina that moved the side up to eighth place in the Serie A table.
Lazio defender Francesco Acerbi was once again a top performer for the side. He recorded five interceptions and three clearances completed. The Italian defender did what he could to lead Lazio’s back three in keeping Fiorentina to a mere three total shots recorded.
This win was key for Lazio and one that Acerbi certainly recognizes that the side needed after a sluggish run of games.
On Instagram, Acerbi posted a short message reflecting on the win.
Today, it was really important to win again.
Lazio will be taking on Parma up next in a fixture where the side could notch its first winning streak in quite a while. More so, the Biancocelesti will be aiming at continuing to keep its strong defensive form.
