Lazio Striker Ciro Immobile: “We Have to Give More Than 100% to Rise in the Table”

Lazio striker Ciro Immobile discussed the Biancocelesti’s important 2-1 win over Fiorentina this afternoon in an interview with Italian broadcaster DAZN (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) after the game.

I had a problem with my tendon that limited me in Genoa. I wanted to be there at all costs because we were going through a complicated moment. It was right to grit my teeth and give the team a hand.

The 30-year-old Italian striker commented on the team’s attacking woes this campaign.

We’re struggling to score goals this year. It’s everyone’s problem, we’re conceding too many. It’s a question of mentality.

We’ve had good games and bad ones. We need to improve our spot the league table and we’re a bit behind. Now we have to give more than 100%.

He touched on the work of Spanish midfielder Luis Alberto.

He’s playing exceptional games. He’s helping the team a bit less with assists. Luis will do well again this year because it’s in his characteristics.

The former Borussia Dortmund and Torino striker looked ahead to this Sunday’s match against Parma.

It will be important for the continuity that we lacked this year. We’ll forget about Fiorentina, who gave us a hard time, and we’ll have the right energy for Parma.

Finally, Immobile spoke about if he’ll be rested in that game against the Gialloblu.

I don’t know, we’ll see.
