Lazio’s Luis Alberto Hoping to Maintain Strong Personal Record Against Fiorentina

Lazio midfielder Luis Alberto will be looking to add to his incredible record against Fiorentina in this afternoon’s Serie A clash, according to a report from Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today.

The report details how the 28-year-old Spaniard has been an important reference point in coach Simone Inzaghi’s squad so far this season, often making a difference throughout the match and providing quality chances to his teammates.

Last year Luis Alberto was the king of assists, providing 16 in 36 league appearances. This season, the Spaniard has not provided a single assist in the league, although he has scored three times, with two of those being against AC Milan and Napoli.

Luis Alberto often performs incredibly well against Fiorentina, having scored three goals and provided four assists in his six previous meetings with the Florence based club.

Last season, after the lockdown, the Roman club won thanks to his and Caicedo’s goals. In 2017 he provided two assists, one to Alessandro Murgia and the other to Keita Baldé. In 2018, Luis Alberto scored a brace and provided an assist to earn the three points in Florence.
