Former Italian Defender Stendardo: “Lazio Have a Great Project”

The winter transfer window is underway and many are already speculating as to what Lazio will do. The Biancocelesti has been linked with several players for possible permanent transfer and even loan moves. But for the moment, it remains to be seen what the club sporting director Igil tare will end up doing to possibly improve the team.

Former Lazio defender Guglielmo Stendardo has been impressed with how the club’s board has built this team over the years. But with this season, in particular, the former Italian defender is well aware that reinforcements are needed to keep this side at a high level.

Stendardo spoke about this matter in comments relayed by the Italian-based outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi.

After three years, you change the coach or the players, so they say. Over the years, Lazio have built an important project. You should add some pieces that need to improve the staff. You need one player per department.

More so, Stendardo backs forward Felipe Caicedo and wants him to stay on with the team.

Inzaghi, I know he would not change him with anyone. He is different from Correa, but he is a player that Lazio cannot deprive himself of. If Caicedo goes away, they must bring in one like of his quality.

It sure will be an interesting couple of weeks in the transfer window for Lazio.
