Lazio Coach Inzaghi May Push Lotito to Offer a Contract Renewal to Stefan Radu

Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi may press president Claudio Lotito to offer a new contract to long-time servant Stefan Radu, according to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today.

The report details how the 34-year-old Romanian defender has been with the Biancocelesti since 2008, and yesterday’s appearance against Fiorentina saw him set the record for most appearances in Serie A with Lazio, with 320.

Radu’s contract expires with the club at the end of the season, but considering how often he features under coach Inzaghi this campaign, a renewal could be offered.

The 44-year-old Italian coach is a fan of Radu and if he extends his contract with the club, then he may push Lotito to offer Radu a contract renewal as well.

The 34-year-old Radu is still a firm fan favourite and consistently performs well, also being a leader on the pitch for the squad.

He has made 14 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 984 minutes. In that time, he has helped the side keep three clean sheets.
