The latest to come out of Lazio’s training grounds is that Joaquin Correa and Mohamed Fares are out on the pitch working with the ball. According to La Lazio Siamo Noi, both hope to be back in the squad for the Derby della Capitale this Friday.
Correa is dealing with a calf injury that has caused him to miss the last two fixtures. Meanwhile, Fares has missed five matches thus far due to a tear in the abductor muscle.
Other players such as Francesco Acerbi, Wesley Hoedt, Luis Alberto, and Ciro Immobile all took part in ball possession before heading back to the dressing room. These players have racked up a significant amount of minutes in these last few fixtures for Lazio, and manager Simone Inzaghi wanted to give them a light work out.
On a worrisome note, players who didn’t partake in the squad’s training session were Manuel Lazzari and Adam Marušić. The Italian media outlet speculates that, hopefully, it’s only a rest day for both players.
