Lazio captain Senad Lulic may recover in time for Friday evening’s derby against Roma, according to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today.
The report details how the 34-year-old Bosnian captain took part in squad training this morning in Formello, and even took part in the small-scale match at the end of the session, where he scored a goal.
Should he continue to give good signals in the coming days, Lulic would be included in the Serie A squad registration list in place of Djavan Anderson, allowing him to feature against the Giallorossi on Friday.
The Lazio players who started against Parma yesterday in the 2-0 win did not take part in squad training, instead remaining in the gym and carrying out physiotherapy.
Coach Simone Inzaghi will begin the preparations for the derby against Roma from tomorrow afternoon, hoping to recover a few players from injury.
Joaquin Correa may return, he warmed up and did some technical drills with the squad before going off to do individual work with the ball.
Mohamed Fares, on the other hand, is less likely to feature against the Giallorossi due to the seriousness of his injury.
