Lazio are close to signing Cukaricki left back Dimitrije Kamenovic, with there being only €800 thousand difference between offer and request, according to a report from Serbian media outlet Zurnals.ir (as reported by LazioLand on Twitter) earlier today.
The report details how the Biancocelesti are looking for a low-cost left back to strengthen the left wing back position this month, due to the injury of captain Senad Lulic and shaky physical condition of Mohamed Fares.
A player under the age of 22 is preferred, as it would not require Lazio to switch up their Serie A squad registration list.
The Roman club have been following 20-year-old Serbian talent Dimitrije Kamenovic for some time now. The left back, who is contracted to Serbian side Cukaricki until 2022, has made 19 appearances so far this season, for a total of 1558 minutes. He has scored one goal and provided two assists in that time.
Kamenovic could join Lazio as soon as this week, as there is only a €800 thousand difference between Cukaricki’s request and the Biancocelesti’s offer. The Serbian side value the 20-year-old at €3 million and the Roman club have offered just over €2 million.
The Serbian portal https://t.co/PYecPAApAn claims Dimitrije Kamenovic might be a Lazio player by thursday if both clubs finish up negotiations by then. A current distance of 800k between demand and offer remains an issue. #Lazio #Kamenovic #Cukarucki pic.twitter.com/NfpPwSc23a
