Ex-Lazio Midfielder Ledesma: “Winning the Derby Can Turn Their Season Around”

Former Lazio midfielder Cristian Ledesma discussed this week’s upcoming Derby della Capitale between the Biancocelesti and Roma in an interview with Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today.

It will be an important challenge for morale, whoever wins can turn their season around.

The 38-year-old, who also appeared for Lecce in his career, then touched on which players he was betting on to do well.

Immobile due to his goal scoring average and because he is a leader. But I’m also betting on Luis Alberto and Acerbi.

Finally, Ledesma commented on how important beating the Giallorossi would be for Simone Inzaghi’s side.

They need to find consistency, the Champions League has taken away their energy. There is competition in a league with variables, but Inzaghi’s team can return to the top.

Roma are currently 3rd in Serie A after 17 games, sitting on 34 points, six ahead of 8th place Lazio.
