Lazio Coach Inzaghi to Start Immobile & Caicedo up Front Against Roma in Friday’s Derby

Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi plans to deploy Ciro Immobile and Felipe Caicedo together up front against Roma in the derby this week, two players with a similar goal average this campaign, according to a report from Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi).

The report details how the 32-year-old Ecuadorian forward has been linked with a move away from the Italian capital this month, with clubs like Fiorentina and Inter interested in acquiring the player, who is reportedly unhappy with his low amount of playing time in Rome.

Despite this, Inzaghi wants to keep a hold of Caicedo, who has a similar goal average to that of Immobile. The Ecuadorian has scored six goals in Serie A so far this season, in 658 minutes, giving him a goal scoring average of one every 110 minutes.

In comparison, Immobile has scored 11 in the league this campaign, across 1198 minutes, giving him a goal average of one every 109 minutes, showing how prolific Caicedo is when given the chance.

Caicedo has also scored in the last two matches, against Parma and Fiorentina, proving to Inzaghi that he deserves a spot in the squad.
