Lazio Still Looking for a Buyer for Denis Vavro After Failed Move to Genoa

Lazio are still looking for a new home for 24-year-old Slovakian defender Denis Vavro, according to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today.

The report details how the former FC Copenhagen centre back was incredibly close to a move to fellow Italian side Genoa earlier this month, on a loan deal with a buy option attached, but the deal fell through due to a tear or strain in the soft tissue of his groin that was found in the medical examinations.

Vavro has since returned to Lazio and has been inconsistently deployed by coach Simone Inzaghi in training, but will not be re-integrated into the squad.

The Biancocelesti are looking for a new home for the player, but offers have not yet arrived and he now risks remaining on the bench for the entire season.

Lazio have until the 1st February to find a buyer for the Slovakian defender, before the transfer window closes.
