Lazio Women’s Castiello: “We Want to Stay Unbeaten & Avoid Dropping Points”

Lazio Women midfielder Antonietta Castiello discussed the Biancocelesti’s upcoming Serie B Women clash against Tavagnacco in an interview with Italian broadcaster Lazio Style Channel earlier today. His words were noted on Lazio’s official website.

Mentally we are doing well, after the win against Pomigliano we unblocked, breaking the long series of draws. We are the only team still unbeaten, we want to continue like this and avoid losing more points. It is fundamental to win the second leg to take the first place.

On Sunday we’ll play Tavagnacco, a difficult match but we want to win it in order to pull ahead in the table.

Castiello also touched on which players she is similar to.

People compare me to Parolo, I fit in well but I lack the habit of scoring goals even if I’m improving. Luckily, we have a lot of important players who score regularly.

Lazio Women are currently 3rd in Serie B after 10 games played, sitting on 20 points, three behind joint leaders Pomigliano and Riozzese.
