Lazio forward Joaquin Correra has missed time due to a calf injury. He just recently picked up the injury and the Biancocelesti is remaining cautious with his injury by keeping him out of fixtures rather than rushing him back into action.
Former Italian defender Massimo Piscedda notes that Correa is a key player to the Biancocelesti. Correa has not been officially ruled out for the upcoming Rome Derby, but Piscedda notes that if he does go on to miss the fixture, it would be a major absence for manager Simone Inzaghi.
Piscedda spoke further about Correa, with comments being relayed by the Italian-based outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi.
Correa is an important absence, you lack such a type of player. If he is well, he can break games, he is very difficult to mark. He is a fundamental game alternative for Inzaghi.
If Correa will not be available to feature in the match, forward Felipe Caicedo will likely continue to take his place upfront in the team’s duo striker setup.
