Lazio’s Inzaghi & Acerbi to Sign Contract Renewals After Derby Against Roma Tomorrow

Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi and defender Francesco Acerbi will look to reach an agreement regarding contract extensions after tomorrow’s Derby della Capitale against Roma, according to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today.

The report details how the 44-year-old Italian coach’s current contract expires at the end of this season, and he would like €3 million net per season in wages in the new deal.

He thinks that he deserves recognition after having guided Lazio to the Champions League Round of 16 and having rebuilt a strong environment at the club.

Among the big teams, Inzaghi (alongside AC Milan’s Stefano Pioli) currently earn the least. President Claudio Lotito has reportedly offered Inzaghi a salary of €2.3 million per season, with a €500 thousand bonus should the team finish in the top 4.

It seems likely now that an agreement will be reached and Inzaghi will be tied to the club until 2022.

It is a much simpler situation regarding Francesco Acerbi, the report continues. Lotito and his agent, Federico Pastorello, have reached an agreement regarding a contract that expires in 2025 worth €2.5 million net plus bonuses per season.

The only thing remaining now for the Italian defender is to put pen to paper, which is likely to take place over the next few days.
