Mayor of Rome Raggi: “I Hope Lazio & Roma Both Win a Scudetto Each in Next 10 Years”

Mayor of Rome Virginia Raggi discussed tomorrow’s Derby della Capitale between Lazio and Roma in an interview earlier today, as reported by Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi).

Already in primary schools there was a climate of teasing, because in Rome you start early.

Live, then, I have seen several and they were always exciting. The ones at the turn of the year 2000 were worth the Scudetto.

My husband is also a Lazio fan and we prepare at home. Some things can be said, others can’t, some friends we can talk to, others no. In short, it’s a ritual.

She touched on the possibility of opening up the stadium for the second derby of this season.

The health emergency forces us to keep our guard up. I hope so, but we’ll have to see what happens.

Finally, Raggi refused to predict the result of tomorrow’s match.

A prediction? Are you joking? You never give one. I hope that Lazio and Roma will manage to win more than one Scudetto each in 10 years’ time.
