Lazio defender Luiz Felipe discussed how he will hit 100 appearances for the Biancocelesti this evening and tonight’s Derby della Capitale against Roma in an interview with Brazilian media outlet Globoesporte earlier today.
I am extremely happy and honoured to have this opportunity to play for a great club like Lazio. Reaching 100 appearances is a privilege and a huge satisfaction.
I see where I started from, how I’ve grown and I’m proud. There have been many special moments, cups won, extraordinary seasons like the one we’re experiencing now in the Champions League.
I’ll keep working to achieve more records and, of course, to help the team win again.
The 23-year-old Brazilian defender, who is contracted to the Roman club until 2022, then touched on tonight’s match against the Giallorossi.
Playing a derby is always special. It will be a difficult and balanced game, Roma have a very good squad like us, but we’re confident we can put in a great performance and get the win on the pitch.
The last results have given us courage to keep winning.
Luiz Felipe has made 13 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 858 minutes. In that time, he has provided one assist and helped the side keep two clean sheets.
