Andreas Pereira’s Social Manager Diniz: “He Believes in Lazio’s Project & Is Happy in Rome”

The head of Lazio forward Andreas Pereira’s press office Matheus Diniz discussed the Brazilian’s desire to contribute to the team and his belief in the project in an interview with Belgian media outlet Hbvl.be earlier today.

Andreas is happy in Rome. He loves the Italian culture, which is closer to the Brazilian one than the English one. He lives there with his wife and daughter.

The fans like him, he just wants to play more. Until now he has been mainly a substitute, but when he has come on, he has always done well. He started against Torino and scored immediately.

He highlighted how the Biancocelesti seem interested in signing Pereira at the end of the season, and how well he has settled in the squad.

I don’t deal with the market, I do marketing, but my feeling is that the club and the player want to continue together. Several Italian teams showed interest during the summer.

That interest is still there, but Andreas believes in the Lazio project. He could stay next season.

Andreas is very well integrated into the squad. He is good friends with Lucas, who he knew from England, Correa and Caicedo.

The 25-year-old Pereira, who is currently on loan at Lazio from Premier League side Manchester United, has struggled for playing time so far this season, appearing for only 362 minutes across 16 appearances in all competitions.

Despite only scoring a goal in that time, he has won over many in the Lazio hierarchies, including president Claudio Lotito, who is considering permanently signing the player.
