Luis Alberto is going through a rollercoaster of a 2020-21 season for Lazio. The 28-year-old has six goals this season, but five of them have come in the last six fixtures for the Biancocelesti.

Despite how effective Luis Alberto is for Lazio, it hasn’t resulted in national team acknowledgment. Throughout the European Qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup for the Spanish National Team, he only received two call-ups through eight fixtures and didn’t make an appearance.
Spanish media outlet Marca recently wrote that Luis Enrique, Spain’s National Team manager, needs to take note of Luis Alberto’s form.
Luis Enrique should take note. The Spanish international is on a roll. He already scored last season at Lazio-Roma, and this season he already has six goals, all in the league.
The World Cup qualifying fixtures will resume in March, and UEFA Euro 2020 is around the corner, so it will be interesting to follow whether Enrique gives Luis Alberto a more prominent role on the squad.
