Lazio manager Simone Inzaghi has partaken in the Biancocelesti’s three biggest wins over AS Roma in the Derby della Capitale.
According to Lazio Stats, Inzaghi had a hand in three 3-0 victories over Roma. One came as a player in 2006 and two as a manager in 2019 and 2021.
In 2006, Lazio defeated Roma as the home side with goals from Cristian Ledesma, Massimo Oddo, Massimo Mutarelli. Despite surrendering 17 total shots, the Biancocelesti didn’t allow a goal in this lopsided win over their capital rival.
Then in 2019, Inzaghi guided Lazio as they were again the home side in a 3-0 win over Roma with goals from Ciro Immobile, Felipe Caicedo, and Danilo Cataldi. Finally, a few days ago, Lazio pulled out another 3-0 win as the home team with goals from Immobile and two from Luis Alberto.
If Lazio and Inzaghi can work out a contract extension, there’s no doubt that he will be involved in more lopsided wins over Roma.
